Finally, I put aside a day or so to fix up my site. Wordpress isn't bad, but I like having fine control over my site and there are many things I'd rather do than mess with php, including not using the site. So now I'm using the amazingly wonderful django, which I've been playing with for quite a while, but never got around to fixing this site up. Still lots of tweaking to do, but the basic stuff is done.

Madrid is a ghost town at the moment, at least the university is. Everyone goes to the beach this time of year. I've been working while others are away so that I can play when my visitors come. It's quite exciting: tomorrow Clive, then Ben on Friday, Katy next week. Mum and Dad the following week. Bonny and Paca shortly after.

Today's photo may not look exciting. Perhaps that's because you have no imagination. How does a building grow? This is the view from my new apartment - well it was the vew when I moved in. I've been taking a photo every (work)day. It'd be fun to do a studio Ghibli / Miyazaki version of the animation when it's finished, but animation isn't one of those skills I'm not bad at.
